Finger Labyrinths
I currently hand carve my finger labyrinths from birch,
walnut,
salex (willow) spruce/pine or MDF
Board (plain compressed wood). Salex and walnut are darker woods
with beautiful grain and the other three materials are light in color and weight.
On occasion I have other specialty woods such as: purpleheart and curly
maple.
Each type of wood has it's own unique characteristics that impact the carved labyrinth.

Why Finger Labyrinths?
I believe the labyrinth is able to facilitate inner healing by
allowing us to connect with a Higher Power and our deeper selves when we approach it with
intention and focus. It is not always possible to find a labyrinth to walk where the
finger labyrinth allows one to journey the labyrinth anywhere, anytime you choose.
For myself, one of the powerful gifts of the labyrinth is its inclusivity. The labyrinth
is found in many cultures and is not confined to any religious tradition.
"The labyrinth invites us to trust the path, to surrender to the many turns life
takes, and to walk through the confusion, the fear, the anger, the grief, and the joy that
we all experience as we live our earthly lives."
"Healing is not mechanical, it is spiritual. Just as scientific medicine organizes
the physical elements, so a labyrinth can organize the experiential spiritual elements
that facilitate inner healing. Ultimately, all healing comes from within." - Robert
Ferré
Comments
RNDM Labyrinths are all hand carved. Each one is unique - they are not perfect they
reflect the ups and downs and imperfections of our real life journey.
"The labyrinth invites us to slow down and become more aware. It is much more than
going in circles. Many approach the experience with intention and focus, and experience a
calming of mind and body, along with new insights into themselves and the world."
"Walking the labyrinth gives people a chance to connect with a quiet space within
themselves. Labyrinth walks allow people to touch something deep within, to achieve a
sense of relaxation and introspection they can't normally get."
